This is the Ultimate Optimist Under Hull cover. Made from our new Polyester fabric, we believe this is the only fully padded under cover available today. It is also waterproof and UV resistant.
Designed for top level Oppi racers, it offers ultimate protection during trailing and transport. The outer material is our new PU coated ripstop polyester while the lining is a light-weight breathable soft nylon. In-between is a layer of closed cell PU foam.
While other padded covers have some strips of foam along the floor of the hull, our cover is padded gunwale to gunwale, bow to stern. In testing boats were laid on gravel and tarmac, and transported on roof racks with no extra carpet or protection, with no damage to the hull whatsoever. One test cover has completed over 5000 miles on a roof rack.
